An Evening With Pat Boone
Recently the Sexton Advisory Group, along with the Financial Knowledge Institute, sponsored a very special event, “An Evening With Pat Boone and Friends.” It was a special night, celebrating our country, our veterans and our active military and featured a special performance by legendary entertainer Pat Boone.
President Steve Sexton is also a Director of The Financial Knowledge Institute (FKI), a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. FKI provides individuals proper education on financial matters at no charge and provides free financial analysis to individuals, very often finding money that has “fallen through the cracks.” The Institute then simply asks folks to consider designating some of the “found” money to charitable giving.
The process has worked very well and consequently Steve Sexton and The Institute raised a total of $10,000 which was donated to two charities at the event. Beneficiaries of “An Evening With Pat Boone and Friends” included the The Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club and Ryan’s Reach which is one of Pat Boone’s philanthropic focuses.
The evening was a great success as a capacity crowd filled Tommy V’s Restaurant in Del Mar. Guests were treated to a fabulous dinner, entertainment by The North Coast Jazz Quintet (featuring members of The Joe Satz Trio), as well as a special performance by Pat Boone, who sang some of his greatest hits. Pat stayed for a special VIP event where guests took pictures and got autographs from the legendary artist.
