Charitable Giving
The Sexton Advisory Group prides itself in comprehensively educating the public in various areas of financial concern including investing, taxes, real estate, insurance issues and more. Company President, Steve Sexton has provided financial advice for the San Diego Entertainer & Lifestyles Magazine, Entertainer & Lifestyles TV and he has also served the trusted expert on the Money Minute segment on Channel 6 (CW) morning show
San Diego Living.
As Director of the Financial Knowledge Institute, Steve also donates his time to provide financial information and guidance at free workshops around the country. “This is a way for us to give back to the community”, says Steve. “So many people are confused and getting mixed messages these days. We are able to help provide the necessary guidance to give them the answers they need.”
Free consultation time is available to provide people free assistance with their specific personal financial situations. As a result of these meetings, Steve and his team help people often find money that has "fallen through the cracks."
Some people choose to use this money to reinvest in their homes, pay debts, or go on vacation. The Financial Knowledge Institute and those at the Sexton Advisory Group also ask people to consider giving some of it back to worthy causes. “We simply ask that clients consider donating a portion of the money to a good cause, but don’t pressure them at all”, Sexton explains. “The concept has been extremely well-received as a way to support worthy causes in a very painless way; with ‘found money’.”
For those that do not have a specific charity in mind, the money can be given to the Financial Knowledge Institute, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to place a donation on their behalf.
